The Goa Education Development Corporation is pleased to announce the Interest Free Education Loan
(IFEL) Scheme for the Academic year 2016-17
Fresh application forms for the IFEL (Interest Free Education Loan) Scheme will be
available online from 01st September 2016 to 31st December 2016 at http://ifel.in.
The form has to be filled along with the scanned copies of the requisite documents and submitted
online on or before 31st December 2016.
For Renewal of loan, the applicants of 2012-13, 13-14, 14-15 and 15-16; have to use the same login
credentials provided to them in the previous years.
These applicants have to upload their requisite documents along with necessary details and renew
online on or before 31st December 2016.

Steps to apply for Interest Free Education Loan Online
The data (facts and figures) entered in the form should tally with the details depicted in the attached documents.
If any data is found faulty and not as per the attached documents ie proofs such cases will be summarily rejected.
An applicant will fill form online and submit the form.
The form is divided into 5 parts.
Enter your name according to SSC/X marksheet. Do not include any initials to your name.
Enter valid Telephone(with STD Code eg 08322269877 for Goa)/Mobile number(with country code eg 917502511111 for India). Application status updates are sent on registered mobile no. and email-id.
Enter your educational details for X,XII,Diploma,Graduation,PG(if applicable). Enter year of passing,Board/College/University,Marks obtained and Total Marks.
Course for which loan is applied
Select the qualification from above given details that needs to be considered for the IFEL scheme.
Select the course.
Enter duration of the course in years.
Enter the year of study for which you want the loan(eg. if your are doing a course of 4 year and studying in 2nd year and applying for loan from 2nd year then enter duration as 4 and year of study as 2).
Enter the course fees and the fees structure(in Rupees) from the year you have applied for the loan.
Course Applying Abroad: Enter College/Institute/University from www.arwu.org or www.usnews.com (For institutes not appearing in above websites, your application will be invalid.)
Enter family details and annual income. In case both the parents are deceased then enter guardians details and annual income.
Enter Two well known references.
Enter bank details. Account number,IFSC code,Bank name and Branch. The Loan amount sanctioned will be transferred in the account mentioned above.

Parent's/ Guardian's Signature
Original or Self Attested copy of recent 15 years residence certificate issued by Competent Authority.
Original or Self Attested copy of Birth certificate issued by Competent Authority
Original or Self Attested copy of the Parents IT return of Previous Financial Year/Scanned copy of Annual Family income certificate for the previous financial year issued by Competent Authority duly signed by Chief Officer or Commissioner of Muncipality or for the resident of Panchayat area, the Income Certificates shall be issued by the concerned Village Panchayat Secretary under his respective Panchayat area duly attested by the Sarpanch of the concerned Village panchayat in case of non-taxable income bracket/Pension Certificate issued by the concerned Department for the Previous financial year, incase of retired parent/Affidavit in case of unemployed parent to be executed on Rs.50/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper(Housewives and unemployed father(Format is available on website).
Original or Self Attested copies of Marksheets of std. X, XII and/or Diploma, Graduation, PG Passing Certificate
Original or Self Attested copy of Proof of admission(in case of foreign studies)
Original or Self Attested copy of Fee receipt for the current academic year
Original Bonafide certificate issued by the college for the current year along with yearwise fee structure for the entire course.
Power of Attorney in the name of working parent in case of studies outside Goa to be executed on Rs.500/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper (only for students completing 18 years of age). Format is available on website).
Original or Self Attested copy of Caste certificate issued by Competent Authority
Original or Self Attested Copy Bonafide certificate of sibling pursuing higher studies (in case where income exceeds).
Original or Self Attested Copy Student's Bank Passbook clearly depicting the Account details (A/c No. for Electronic Transfer) with IFSC Code OR Cancelled cheque.
Original or Self Attested Copy Aadhar card of the student.
If there are any errors, rectify them before submitting the form. No changes are possible once the form is submitted.
A confirmation message will be displayed before submission.
On submission, a registration number will be generated.
The applicant should download and print this application for reference.
Online Renewal Form Submission
If the Loan is approved then the applicant can fill the Renewal form in the subsequent years until the course duration is over.
